Fuel storage tanks located indoors, outdoors and underground are subject to accumulations of moisture and dust though vent caps. The cleaner the fuel, the more reliably it will perform when used.

Overview

Tanks store fuel for vehicles and equipment used at construction sites, shipyards, sawmills, petrochemical plants, rail yards, mines, quarries, manufacturing plants, etc. Outdoor storage locations are subject to the extremes of the environment.

In addition to water vapor, other contaminants which can be removed include: Acetone, Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Ethylene, Formaldehyde, Freon, Hydrogen Sulphide, Oxides of Nitrogen, Sulphur Dioxide, Toluene, Acid and Oil Vapors, etc.

Typical adsorbents used

Soda Lime, Molecular Sieves, Silica Gel, Activated Alumina, Activated Carbon, etc. The selective use of desiccants such as molecular sieves, silica gel and activated alumina, together with a wide range of other adsorbents in its tank vent dryers and adsorption units, enables KIMAX to offer a high level of protection to a wide range of materials.
